Community Desk Chicago (The Desk) is committed to respecting the privacy of its online visitors. Personal information collected is used strictly for providing program services.

The Desk may use your personal information to provide services to you upon your request. Such services may include sending you newsletters and publications, responding to your questions and comments, emailing you or texting you with updates concerning The Desk’s services, and personalizing your visits to our website.

We keep personal information such as your e-mail address and telephone number in a secure database. We will not forward, trade or sell any part of your personal information to other organizations.

Text Messaging

Communication via text messaging is limited to Desk clients and partners for purposes of providing program services. Message and data rates may apply. Users can opt-out of receiving text messages at any time.

Mobile numbers will not be used by The Desk for mass marketing or direct solicitation.  Additionally, no mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.

This site may provide links to partners and other resources. These links will take online visitors to third-party sites operated by different privacy practices. The Desk is not responsible for the actions of any third-party websites and encourages online visitors to read the posted privacy policies of each website visited.

Website Experience and Performance

To improve visitors’ experiences on the website, The Desk gathers certain information related to individuals’ website visits, collectively “Analytics Information”. Analytics Information does not correlate to an individual and is used solely to measure and improve The Desk’s website and to better serve The Desk’s website visitors. The Desk uses aggregate statistical data to compile reports.
