Community Desk Chicago facilitates access to capital investment by providing analysis and thought partnership to launch transformative real estate projects in Black and Latinx communities. The Desk leverages private market expertise to effectively position community-oriented development projects in the marketplace with current industry data and relevant financial benchmarks to acquire funding successfully.

We actively seek private market firms, corporations, and other financial institutions to lend their industry expertise to invest in Black and Latinx community projects. There are a number of ways to offer support:

• Lend your talent through your company’s structured volunteer program to support the work of the Desk.

• Become an advisor to the Desk to evaluate and review projects and identify funding resources.

• Serve as a subject matter expert to help “pressure test” project assumptions and feasibility.

• Collaborate with the Desk on deal-making to move projects forward.
